Tirzepatide (LY3298176) is the first approved dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist and the reference molecule against which most contemporary incretin research is benchmarked. Its C20 fatty-diacid moiety enables once-weekly pharmacokinetics through albumin binding.
